Senior/Support analyst
Place of work – vicinity of Krakow, Poland
The support analyst will report directly to the regional support leader.
Your job will give you the opportunity to work directly with the user community in a challenging and dynamic environment. The main focus of the role is to ensure production stability, availability and performance.
Adherence to ITIL best practices, for example, problem and incident management, production readiness – release management, BCP and CMDB.
Key Responsibilities include:
•Incident investigation – ensure that all incidents raised by the business users are dealt with in a timely manner
•Problem management – work closely with the management team
•Engagement model – work with the regional and global leads to ensure that adhering to the agreed SLA and KPIs.
Monitoring – monitor systems’ performance, storage requirement, network and process load in the Grid.
•Confidentiality – immediately escalate to the management team any concerns regarding potential breaches to the production environment security.
•Impact assessment – assess the potential financial, reputational or regulatory impact of an incident and work with the business/regional/global lead to restore production.
Requirements:
•Unix command line
•Unix scripting/automation tools, and privilege management tools
•Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008, Oracle 9i/10g. SQL Server, DataSynapse GridServe
•Proficiency in the use of MS Office products
•Understanding of the IT production support model (L1, L2 and L3) including follow the sun
•ITIL knowledge
•Sysbase
•Perl scripting (Advantage)
•Effective, confident communicator
•Self motivated, proactive approach, committed, team focused
•High level of attention to detail
