Senior PHP Symfony 2 Developer, Berlin

My client have spun out of a well established industry research business and therefore offer the dual benefit of being a start-up and therefore offering autonomy and responsibility, but having the stability that is often lacking within other early stage organisations.

Having already prototyped and taken the product to market, which has been very warmly received, they are now looking to hire a Senior PHP Symfony2 Developer to own the development of their web distribution platform. You will find yourself working alongside the CTO and CEO of the business as well as senior level Product Managers in order to help delivery the platform within the timescales they have set themselves internally. You will also find yourself working closely alongside the "mother" company's frontend development team who have been seconded to deliver the UI for the platform.

Key Skills Required:


Strong OO PHP development skills with the ability to work without guidance and the confidence / experience to be able to champion ideas and the tech stack direction

Strong background with Symfony 2

Experience gained around the full LAMP stack.

Naturally some grasp of the FE tech is required and therefore you should be comfortable around HTML, CSS and JavaScript (jQuery).

Strong comms skills are essential as you will at times be required to explain complex technical issues to a non-tech audience.
