What are we looking for?

We are looking for a software developer who takes pride in their code, loves to get challenged, enjoys team play and prefers being listened to instead of listening all the time. Our preference is a front-end ninja but we welcome back-end developers as well.

Skillset

For front-end, we require HTML (preferably HTML5), PHP (not necessarily advanced, basics is OK) and jQuery skills. It would be nice if you also have jQueryUI, jQueryMobile and TwitterBootstrap skills.

For back-end, we need someone with very good PHP skills (Symfony 2).

Type of employment

This is a full-time position so we aim to offer permanent employment but you can also work as a consultant if you have your own company. The probation period will be 6 months.

How much do we pay?

We are ready to pay between 6 500 and 10 000 PLN per month, depending on the type of contract, experience and skill set. There are additional bonuses depending on the completion of tasks and quality of work.

This is OUR project together; OUR company and we create products all-together, with everyone?s input. Since we happen to pay the bills and run the business, hence take the greater financial risk, we take the bigger part of the profit as well, but everyone contributes (and gets listened to) when it comes to HOW and WHEN we do things.

There is no corporate non-sense, no internal competition for promotion, no labor harassment ? we pay people well, sometimes even way more than the market average, and we try to share as much as we can if the project is profitable. So the more you work and the better you produce, the more you get back ? simple as that.

We do not count people as ?heads?, we value their personality and brains. You are not just ?a front-end senior? or a ?back-end junior? for us, you are YOU as a person and we cherish it.

We do not force people to come to the office. You are only needed once a week when we have our creative session or sprint planning / retrospective meetings. For the rest of the time, you can be at your home or wherever you feel comfortable to code. We do have an office in Katowice but you do not have to be there every day.

There are no strict working hours. We just need our team to be available to come to the office when we need them for a meeting and be online on Skype if they are not at the office ? 8 hours is all we ask from you, whenever you feel better to spend them for us.

We do not force you to get full employment. If you want to remain as a consultant and use your own company, fair enough.

We only work with smart and ambitious people, so there is always positive energy around and a lot of stuff to learn from each other.

You will not be stressed working for us. On the contrary, you will feel great if you already understood how amazing this offer is ? we treat work special because we spend more than half of each day at work, so we want to make sure it has a meaning.

We bring in a lot of global industry-specific knowledge and we are happy to share it for free ? we do not care how many hours are ?wasted? to teach our development team more about the sports and igaming industries. We consider this a valuable investment.

We eat lunch together occasionally and we have stuff to eat and drink at the office. We do not calculate how much they cost and how we should make sure you pay them back to us.

BA Entertainment is a UK registered company with its subsidiary in Poland and we operate direct-to-consumer websites for 5 years. We are interested in hiring young, driven, smart, ambitious and creative people in Poland to expand our Polish team. We are not a corporation and we do not aim to be a very large enterprise but we are certainly in good and sustainable financial condition. Our aim is to create the best sites for people who are looking for sports information and betting advice; while making the user experience as interactive and as fun as possible. We are intending to remain small in order to keep our job fun and not lose our personal touch in what we do.
