Requirements:
Education:
* Relevant academic, technical or service management qualifications.
Experience and personal abilities:
* Two years plus experience in a customer facing IS support role, ideally in a process driven environment;
* Two years plus experience of using the SQL language;
* One years plus experience of working as an Oracle v8/v9 DBA;
* One years plus experience of working as a SQL Server 2000/2005 DBA;
* One years plus experience of Oracle SQL scripting and/or SQL Server T-SQL scripting;
* Six months plus experience (ie: a good working knowledge) of Windows scripting and UNIX shell scripting;
* Strong financial background would be a big advantage;
* Understanding of professional business environment;
* Experience in customer facing role;
* Experience process and procedure development will be preferred;
* Process driven environment;
* Customer focused and service driven;
* Excellent personal organisation including time management;
* Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure;
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
* Flexible and conscientious;
* Enthusiastic team member;
* Excellent telephone techniques and speaking voice;

Technical Abilities:
Essential:
* Knowledge of SQL language;
* Knowledge of SQL Server and some Oracle administration;
* Working knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting.
Preferred:
* Knowledge of Oracle administration;
* Some knowledge of Informix administration;
* Knowledge of database applications such as: Elite, CD etc and procedures such as: CD/Elite transfer etc;
* Knowledge of HP-UX administration and programming;
* Working knowledge of Lotus Notes, Windows NT and Microsoft Office.
