PHP Developer in Munich, Germany

Our client is a Munich-based company that supports internet startups in more than 40 countries around the world. They have created many world-famous services and are constantly developing new ones. It is a top-level company which operates like a high-tech incubator and venture capital at the same time. They are in operation since 1999 and employ over 700 people. In order to cater to the fast-paced growth of our online client we are looking for a driven PHP Developer to join and strengthen their international team in Munich.

Role & Responsibilities:
 - You have a degree in IT or have several years extensive PHP5 project experience
 - You have solid experience with PHP5 (object-oriented development) and MySQL
 - Ideally, you have experience in e-commerce tools (for example, Magento, Oxid eSales, Zen Cart, hubris, Intershop, xt: commerce)
 - You're interested in scaling of high-performance websites, database optimization, web services (REST, SOAP) and the sensible use of design patterns
 - You have basic knowledge in system administration (Linux, Apache or nginx)
 - You have experience with PHP MVC frameworks (ideally, Zend Framework) and TDD
 - You have strong analytical skills with excellent communication and coordination skills
 - You can best identify the relevant KPI's and adjust processes accordingly

Requirements
 - Master’s or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited university with high marks or comparable work experience
 - 3+ years of PHP development experience
 - Well-grounded knowledge of Web Technologies, esp. HTML, CSS and Javascript
 - Good knowledge of database programming and design
 - Agile Development with Continuous Integration
 - Experience with TDD
 - Fluency in English (no German required)
 - Good communication skills & communicative team player
 - Enthusiastic positive attitude, yet disciplined and detailed-oriented
 - Exceptional personal drive to achieve success and deliver bottom-line results

Salary: €45000 – €55000 per year depending on your experience
