From splicing beautiful PSDs to engineering smooth & interactive applications, you’re a web guru who solves challenges using the latest web technology. You love engineering unique PHP-based applications, and you don’t stop until they are perfect.
You’re a technical ninja and a suave smooth-talker. You can engineer fast, flexible and stable web experiences while describing to non-techies how things work. You can easily transform layered PSD designs or HTML/CSS into fully functional web applications that you’re proud of. And you can do all of this working remotely and as part of a growing team.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop PSDs into fast, flexible and robust websites that perform smoothly
- Build solid back-end architectures that integrate easily with other systems and technologies
- Work in collaboration with both Canada and Europe-based designers, project managers and QA specialists to deliver projects
- Test and retest everything to ensure cross-device and cross-browser compatibility
- Provide technical support to existing Vordik clientele
- Understand design patterns and write reusable, modular code
- Have a superior attention to detail and a strong ability to Q/A your own work
Your Requirements:
- Reliability and passion
- HTML5, CSS3 and JS (W3C-valid)
- PHP (Yii and/or Symfony)
- GIT (Github)
- Clean, modular, efficient, CoC and DRY code
- English (written and spoken)
- Cross-browser and cross-platform development
- Responsive web development
- Attention to detail...which means making sure a website looks great and works perfectly
Nice to Have:
- Experience with PHP-based CMS (e.g. WordPress and Drupal)

Our corporate headquarters is located at 200-340 King Street East in Toronto, Canada. Working hours are flexible, but we’d like you to be available from 10AM to 6PM CET, Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call periods.
