It is a specialised IT consultancy company, who has 3 main areas of focus:
- IT/Cyber security is the first and the company really lives and breaths this with a CTO who previously was IBM’s Lead ethical hacker in Europe.
- The second is architecture in terms of building, reviewing and improving large scale architecture project such as an investment banks infrastructure support a business which had a turnover of 213 billion per year and a large global telecommunication providers application architecture which underpinned all their services.
- Thirdly it specialises in bigdata working with products and technologies like Apache Storm and spark, Lucene, lucidworks fusion and elastic search, working with customers and their data and providing either insight/relevancy into the data or building the system for the customer.
The project we initial wish to hire someone for is a market place connecting vendors with consumers and delivery drivers. There will be a lot of unique features required which other services do not currently implement such as OCR of ID’s, implementing amazon LEX for image recognition, interacting with a mixture of structured and non structured DB’s.
Security will also play a significant role and the developer will be exposed to a very mature and technically expansive security framework. Also the developer will be expected to utilise the full stack of amazon services so will gain quite a lot of experience with EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, LEX etc.
They will also be working with a team who’s members at a minimum have 20 years plus experience in IT and specifically being technical heavy weights. In terms of the business side they will be dealing with people who have grown 20 million+ turnover business from the ground up.
